Obverse: A view of the town with numerous Gothic churches surrounded by ramparts and bastions. The coin was to commemorate the drawing up of the Westphalian peace-treaty of 1648 marking the end of the Thirty Years' War and signed in the Munster town hall. Reverse: Pictures of outstretched hands from among the clouds illuminated by the rays of the sun. Behind the hands are two horns of plenty and an olive branch; at the bottom is a heap of weapons
